Shockproof ballance, 19 Jewels.Made by Petrodvorzowy Watch Factory (PChZ) in 1980s. The Petrodvorets Watch Factory, located in Saint-Petersburg, was initially founded by Peter the Great in 1721 as a precious stone manufacture. It supplied precious stones for the crown of the Tzars, for Faberge, Imperial palast, the Kremlin Stars and Lenin’s moseleum. From 1930’s the factory started manufacturing rubis for watch mechanisms, then watches under famous soviet brands. In 1962 the factory created its own new brand “Raketa” (it means Rocket) in honor of the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. From 1969 factory is working on a new collection that includes a modern redesign of the Polar expedition watches. On the Raketa 24H watches, the hour’s hand makes only one complete rotation during 24H instead of two, so it’s impossible to confuse AM and PM time (a necessity for submarine crew, polar explorers, miners and in spase wherever it’s impossible to see if it’s day or night).
