Vintage “Rooster” Fabric Art, Farmhouse Decor, Hand-Hooked Wool?, 11″ x15” Panel, Ready to Frame Object: This auction is for original and vintage, 11″x15″ “Rooster” tapestry fabric panel made of what appears to be wool yarn on a thin, very fine plastic base. There may be some age toning which adds to its charm. It was possibly made with a hand-hooked tapestry or another needlepoint technique, but we are not experts in fabric art. Please use your own expertise and photos to assess the material, technique and age. Item is clean and bright having been protected in a generic frame with glass – no frame is included in this auction. Photos cannot do justice. Artist/Studio: Unknown Origin: Unknown, USA Year: Vintage Signed: Unsigned Pattern: Rooster in Grassy Field Color: The colors are clean and bright, possibly a little age-toned, and are richer and warmer than photos show. Material: Wool? yarn Surface: Tactile and clean; more tactile on the back side; left and right edges slightly frayed; top and bottom edges smooth and more finished. Technique: Fabric art; hand-hooked? onto a thin, and fine, clear plastic mesh that is a little bit visible on the frayed ends and in some spots on the backside; finished product is more tactile like a tapestry rather than like the more uniformed needlepoint process but can’t confirm. Please use your own expertise and photo closeups to assess technique. Features: Beautiful colors and detail; may have some warm, age-toning; hand made. Condition: Item has been protected in a generic frame with glass so is flat and clean with no rips, tears or stains. (No frame is included in this auction.)
