Hard drive comes with Windows 10 Home 64-Bit preinstalled and updated, and Dell Precision M4800 and M6800 drivers installed. Since some M4800 and M6800 hardware configurations are different, you may have some drivers that still need to be installed. These drivers are saved in a folder in Downloads. Please note that we are not selling any software and that Windows 10 Home has been preinstalled for your convenience. It has not been activated. The buyer must have a Microsoft digital license or product key for Windows 10 Home. If Windows is not activated within 1 month, some features will no longer work. Virtual/Digital Windows 10 Licenses A digital license is a virtual product key. If you previously upgraded from an older version of Windows to Windows 10, you have what is known as a digital or virtual license. That means the Microsoft servers already know you have a Windows 10 license for that laptop, which is linked to serial numbers of several pieces of hardware they identified in your laptop and it will be automatically validated by Microsoft without you putting in an actual product key. While you do not need a physical product key in this case, you do need to know if you own Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Home as the installed version on the hard drive must match the version you own. *********************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Frequently Asked Questions: Can I install this hard drive in another model of laptop? Yes, but the drivers installed are for the Dell Precision M4800 and M6800 only. The hardware in any other model will be different, so if Windows 10 does not automatically install the other drivers needed, you will have to find them and install them to get all your hardware working. The Dell Latitude E5440, E5540, E6440 and E6540 share the same Intel chipset, and most of the same hardware, and the alternative drivers for all 6 models have been saved in the downloads folder on the hard drive. Does it matter if I had the 32-Bit version installed before and now want the 64-Bit version?
