This is an unmatched pair of JBL C34 legendary speaker from James B Lansing, the founder of Altec Lansing speakers. Approximate dimensions 26.5 inches height 18 inches depth 26.5 inches width These are THE speakers from the early 50’s to 60’s. Though the company uses the acronyms from the original founder of Altec speakers James Bullough Lansing (hence JBL), this company was started a few years before he passed in 1949. I am a huge fan of Altec and JBl speakers. A bit about this specific pair: They function perfectly and, as stated above, sound truly true, effortness and high efficiency. This pair is complete with the well designed N1200 crossover and sound is dynamic, balanced, open, and full. Many think that 3 or 4 way speakers sound better but simple 2 way speaker can sound so amazing even using technology from the 50’s and 60’s well before transistors. The case of the speaker is not in the best condition and needs some work to bring it back to its original condition. There are some scratches here and there and some veneer are lifting. I haven’t tried to fix anything afraid I might do more harm than good. I will leave it to the new owners to do the magic it deserves. I opened the rear just to take a look but did not give good access to pictures of the horn and woofers. I know from datasheet and owners say that is has the 130A woofer and 175DLH horn driver. I know the crossover is N1200 because I can see in the back. The speaker has been with us for over 15 years and previous owner probably had it for another 10 years or so. Everything is original and not tampered with. The speakers really do sound exceptional and the component complement of each speaker consist of 130A woofer, 175DLH driver/horn combination and a N1200 Crossover. Driven only with DIY Western Electric 300B tube amps. Speaker is heavy and they feel like they are 70-80 lbs at least. These must be palletized and shrink wrapped to protect the best and even covered with dual layer of cardboard. They will also need to be strapped for safe arrival. Shipping to a residence will be high due to the high dollar amount, insurance and transfer to smaller truck with lift gate. It will be at least $500 or more depending on zip code. Shipping to a business address that has a loading dock or forklift can probably save at least $150-$200.
