The “flaking” or “shadowy” effect could occur during the manufacturing process and could be seen on brand new items; this is not a defect. Soft bags are shipped folded by the manufacturers; it may take a while for a bag to take its original shape. Stuffing the bag with something soft, i.e., folded clothes, will speed up the process. Unstructured bags, i.e., reversible totes, do not hold shape. All items come with the original manufacturer’s warranty. Unless it is sealed, we check every functional item, i.e., zippers, snaps, locks, etc. If there is an issue with a functional item during warranty period, it will be repaired or replaced by the manufacturer.
