It is made entirely of cardboard and is 29 cm high. The roof is white grey with glitter dust, which creates the snow effect. The walls of the light house are made of gray cardboard. In front of the inn stands the innkeeper with a snow shovel, as well as trees and a pile of wood at the side. There are balconies at the front and sides. The light house is illuminated by electrical lighting that is installed inside. The base is also painted with white glitter dust. Scope of delivery: Light house inn “Zur Post” packed in a sturdy cardboard box, height 29 cm About the company Birgit Uhlig Light houses were already being manufactured in Olbernhau before 1900, and at that time they were illuminated with a candle. The cardboard was cut out with a carving knife attached to a ruler and square; there were special cutters for the door and window openings. Skilled hands glued windows and window paper into the blanks and created the various houses piece by piece. The carving knives have now been replaced by a punch and the candle by electric lighting. Today, just as in previous years, hard-working women in my workshop lovingly handcraft the individual cardboard cuts and the many small accessories to create the Erzgebirge light house.
