Nice condition, works well. The clip gold appears aged? with the clip being rolled gold. I bought this lever fill fountain pen to use, with various other pens, depending on what colour I fancied using. I write, but not as often as I should. I never used this, as overall I found myself using my newer fountain pens, so rather than it just be sat here, or put in the loft and left for tens of years, better to sell it to someone who’ll appreciate it much more. It has been refurbished by a professional. All that was done was it was professionally cleaned inside and out, I presume with a sonic tank, and the bladder replaced. I don’t believe the outside of the pen has been ‘polished’ as you’ll see some old pens, in order to remove scratches caused in normal use. The barrel has a faint imprint on it, Conway Stewart 759 Made in England. I assume the pen is plastic, but always wise to clean old fountain pens without immersing in water as they can melt away or absorb the water and warp, due to the older types of material used to make them. Be wise, be careful! I tried to take the best pictures I could, original box as far as I’m aware. Unclear of the pens age? 1950’s or earlier I presume? When purchased it said that it was late 1940’s. The “Nippy” propelling pencil is also 5 inches and has the faint imprint “Nippy Conway Stewart London” No nicks, cracks, splits damage or signs of ‘restoration’ other than the new bladder and clean / service it had from a professional. Please note the last image, the instructions, appears to be a mark on the right side of the image, a burn on the paper slightly? I ran out of space for other images, it also notices on the other side.
