This is an original vintage Singer Model 15-91 sewing machine in solid wood cabinet. It was my grandmother’s, but due to space limits, I want to sell it now. It comes with the orginal owner’s manual, which has a copyright date of 1954 on it, so I assume that is the time frame of manufacture. It is a nice piece of furniture. I used it as a lamp table in my living room for years. As you can see in the pictures, it needs cleaning and some rust removal. The top surface of the cabinet was stripped and re-stained, but it could use some more work to make it look really good. There is a screw in the front right leg (see photo), probably put there to repair the corner moulding. However, the cabinet itself is solid and not wobbly. Once you open the two top covers, the sewing machine can be lifted up when you need to use it or display it. One side has a bracket that holds the wood level to make a table surface. The electric wires look like they were once replaced. However, they should be replaced with new wires again, since the existing wires are pretty old. The machine runs when plugged in and the foot pedal is pressed. It runs kind of slow compared to modern machines. I’m not sure if this is the way the machine was designed or not. The dimensions of the cabinet when closed are: 31″ high, 26″ width, 18″ depth. The item is listed for PICKUP ONLY. It would cost way too much to ship. The item is in Sea Cliff, Long Island, New York. However, I would be willing to delivery it or meet the buyer up to 1 hour drive from Sea Cliff, New York for no charge. Thanks for looking! No returns.
